Reb Yoel Kahan, the Rebbe’s choizer, farbrenged with hundreds of bochurim in honor of 6 Tishrei on Sunday evening in Crown Heights, organized by Vaad Hatmimim.
Speaking to a packed crowd at the Kollel, R’ Yoel explained in his unique way the eternal connection between a Rebbe and chossid, especially a tomim. “The connection to a tomim is a “kesher atzmi,” that will never be changed in any situation,” he said.
R’ Yoel explained that even in a time like this, a time of darkness, the Rebbe still continues to feel the pain and the joy of his Chassidim. When a bochur comes to the Ohel and gives the Rebbe a report of something good, the Rebbe is happy with him, he said.
R’ Yoel reminded the bochurim of the importance of being immersed in Torah, saying “each Tomim must remember Rebbe’s words in the last yechidus for Temimim in 5752 – that a Tomim has to be completely involved in learning Torah at all times, all day, and even at night he should dream about what he learned during the day.”
