Thanks to the efforts of Yossi Bendet of Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim, Sholom Ber Kratz of Jem, Rabbi Motty Lipskier, Director of the Beis Medrash, and other community members, the Beis Medrash was bathed in complete darkness last Motzei Shabbos.
Approximately one hundred men and boys came through the Beis Medrash for a viewing of the Jem Video presentation in honor of Yud Tes Kislev. They partook from a lavish melave malka catered by Turk Caterers with l’chaims to go around.
The 3 hours long video of the Rebbe’s Yud Tes Kislev Farbrengen from the year of tof shin mem daled, 1983 was divided into three segments allowing for different audiences to come and go in between.
One yungerman was asked what made him come out for the viewing. He answered, “How can you compare watching this same video alone in my house to watching it in a room full of chassidim? I love the energy here!”
In the event that we are still chas v’sholom in galus by Yud Shvat, there will be a viewing of the Rebbe’s Yud Shvat Farbrengen at TBM on the preceeding Motzei Shabbos.
“We learned a few things from this event which will iy”h be incorporated into future viewings,” said Yossi Bendet. “These include requests for a women’s section and providing start and end times for each segment,” he said.
