L’chaim plus Tzedakah plus Pesukim plus an exciting program equals what? A CYH international online rally, of course! Available to 4,000 Shluchim worldwide, The Shluchim Office has once again created an interactive and inspiring Farbrengen for young Shluchim around the world.
CYH, which stands for Chinuch Yaldei HaShluchim, is a division of The Shluchim Office specifically geared towards children of Shluchim. Through clubs, Yoma D’pagra rallies, Hachanos, and more, CYH has become a household word in every young Shliach’s lingo.
CYH publishes weekly newsletters designed for Yaldei Shluchim and recently launched “Mini Messengers”, a social network where young Shluchim can interact with Shluchim their age and build connections that last. Children registered for the CYH programs also receive special birthday packages and constant new opportunities directly to their e-mail inbox.
Yud Shvat is one of the most essential days in the life of a Chossid. For Shluchim in Oklahoma, Paraguay, and Australia, Farbrengens aren’t always available with other Chassidishe children. Therefore, with the support of Rabbi Shemtov, director of The Shluchim Office, CYH staff coordinated a 45-minute interactive rally on Thursday.Three rallies were conducted to accommodate all time zones around the world.
The rally began with Pesukim, said by children of Shluchim from around the world. One Pasuk was said by Cheder Lubavitch of Sydney, Australia, where we were able to see forty students enjoying the rally under one login name. The rally then continued on to a raffle with three winners of a framed picture of the Rebbe for their house. Congratulations to the Laskers from Belgium, Litzmans from Korea, and the Gurevitz family from California, on completing the Yud Shvat Hachana and winning the raffle. (Of course, every young Shliach who participated is a winner, and each child was excited to hear that EVERY child would receive a prize for participating in the Hachana.) A special Guest Speaker Rabbi Avremy Groner from London, England entertained and inspired the children with a beautiful story.
The rally continued with a Hiskashrus game, created by the talented students of the Nigri International Shluchim Online School. Codes were deciphered to help figure out the different ways to connect to the Rebbe. Tzedakah was given, Lchaim was said, and a joint Hachalata was made by the Shluchim from around the world. The rally ended with a video of the Rebbe, inspiring the young Shluchim to strengthen their Hiskashrus.
Thank you to those who made this rally possible: Rabbi Shemtov, the director of The Shluchim Office, Rabbi Goodman for administrative and technical support, and to all the other staff of The Shluchim Office whose involvement is greatly appreciated.
Stay tuned for details about CYH’s next exciting project, “CYH Passport”, commemorating the Chassidishe Yomim Tovim!
