we must respect that which others consider holy! and not
disregard feelings just like that!very dissapointing!!!

Also, I believe, the (Lehavdil) Conservative philosophy is that ‘Torah’ is not ‘Min HaShamayim,’ just like (‘Lehavdil’) the Reform.

Voltaire said that it was was neither holy, nor Roman, nor an empire.

(It wasn’t Roman – it was located in Germany and France, without any connection to Rome. It wasn’t Holy, I’d say rather unholy. And it wasn’t an Empire because it did not conquer).

If you ever speak to a Christian about any of this, they’ll think you’re messing with their history and stuff, plus they’ll get defensive about calling it avodah zara, because in their eyes it’s all the same G-d, even though it is totally erroneous and construed and based on lies.

i remember the REbbe refering to Christianity and Islam

one is an avoda zora and the other a shtus.

Rabbi Goldberg with all do respect is an earnest young rabbi but his explanation on the topic was not clear and sounded more like some scholarly lecture. it kind of left me wanting more clarity

and their leaders were called the “Holy Roman Emperor”
