Rabbi Efrem Goldberg, Rabbi of the Boca Raton Synagogue in Florida, explains how the “founder” of Christianity was an Orthodox Jew who preceded the new religion by 200 years.
In this class presented at the annual National Jewish Retreat, Rabbi Goldberg shares his knowledge of the origins of Christianity and its relationship to the Jews.
The Jews who embraced early Christianity were still Jews and soon the majority of Christians were from the ranks of the surrounding pagan peoples.
The history of Christian/Jewish relations has often been violent; Rabbi Goldberg explains the reasons and motivations behind the enmity.

we must respect that which others consider holy! and not
disregard feelings just like that!very dissapointing!!!
Also, I believe, the (Lehavdil) Conservative philosophy is that ‘Torah’ is not ‘Min HaShamayim,’ just like (‘Lehavdil’) the Reform.
hoffinger
Voltaire said that it was was neither holy, nor Roman, nor an empire.
(It wasn’t Roman – it was located in Germany and France, without any connection to Rome. It wasn’t Holy, I’d say rather unholy. And it wasn’t an Empire because it did not conquer).
If you ever speak to a Christian about any of this, they’ll think you’re messing with their history and stuff, plus they’ll get defensive about calling it avodah zara, because in their eyes it’s all the same G-d, even though it is totally erroneous and construed and based on lies.
that title is an oxymoron.

The Rebbe said not to go by the time that it says on the church.
i remember the REbbe refering to Christianity and Islam
one is an avoda zora and the other a shtus.
Rabbi Goldberg with all do respect is an earnest young rabbi but his explanation on the topic was not clear and sounded more like some scholarly lecture. it kind of left me wanting more clarity
What does it say in the sichas?
that is how it is called historically

of course you are right that they were anything but!
Did he say the Holy Roman Empire?? @ 7min.
