Do you have what it takes to be an FBI agent? Do you wish you could be closer to the action, watch the agents do their investigations, check out their cool technology, and even give them a hand?
Join the Jewish Children’s Museum as they collaborate with the FBI, for a day of fun and learning, and find out if YOU have what it takes!
On June 10th, the FBI will be in Brooklyn to teach kids what they do, how an investigation works, and the role they play to ensure our country’s safety. An exciting, hands on program for children and families will feature live displays from the FBI, Secret Service and Homeland security.
Participants will have the chance to meet an FBI Swat Team, see how the FBI Bomb Technicians do their important work and the robots that make their job safer.
Ever wanted to see the inside of an FBI Mobile Command Post? Now’s your chance! There will be one which has been used to investigate real crimes right there for you to check out! How about a coast guard boat? There will be one right outside the museum on Eastern Parkway! And you will have the chance to enjoy a once in a lifetime experience as you pretend to be President of the United States while sitting in the Presidential Limousine!
FBI Assistant Director in Charge, Janice K. Fedarcyk is definitely excited. “I am looking forward to sharing in this event at the Jewish Children’s Museum; the Jewish community has always been a strong partner to the FBI,” she said. Fedarcyk has worked with Devorah Halberstam, JCM Director of Foundations and Services, and lecturer to the FBI on terrorism, who has collaborated with the FBI to plan this fantastic day. “The FBI day at the JCM is another opportunity for us to further our mission and bring communities together for education, promoting tolerance and understanding between all people.”
For the grown-ups there will be special workshops which will include lectures on real life cases, special operations, terrorism, identity theft and more. Join the workshops to hear from special guest speakers and from representatives of the TSA and Federal Air Marshals on airline travel and security.
This is an opportunity not to be missed and a great day out for the whole family. Entrance is free and the first 100 attendees will receive a special free gift!
