It is a pen!!! Yes, a special pen for correcting Torahs which all sofrim use all the time (not for writing, just for correcting). It uses special ink with a hechsher.
This man is a living example of what it means to be a Jew, a chossid and a true believer in hashem!
If only there were a few more people like Rabbi Klein in our communities!
May Hashem bless him to continue doing the good that he does, and that he should have tons of chassidisher nachas from all of his children and grandchildren!!!
You are the best zaidy ever!Love you sooo much!
Love, Zeesy from Postville

to 1- 25 hey guys it’s vert simple yankel klein is one of the most sincere people I have and will ever meet. He is very careful abot halacha, torah and chassidishkeit, Cares for every one he meets and I can go on for years praising him but i’de like to answer your questions above. Firstly if you’de look closer at the picture you will see it’s a feather (quil) just that the ends were cut off since their not necessary and could get in the way. Secondly yankel doesn’t do any thing without a reson and definitely has one… Read more »
As far as I know pens are ok for fixing letters. Quills are for show. Can a Sofer comment.
Great minds think alike 🙂
that’s exactly what I thought!!
I personally dont know Rabbi Yaacov Klein, but this picture and the meaning behind it, is amazing. Here is a yid, in middle of his work day, taking the time and patience to fix the holy of holies – our Safer Torah-. Kudos to you Rabbi Klein!
make that a the stem of a quill…
Its his fathers tallis
CORRECT!
Seriously?!?! A PEN?!?!? Non-Lubavitch Tallis?!?!?!!? Ignorance at its best!
Not just the best mohel ever, but the most compassionate for baby AND mother.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ad 120 with all the brochos bgur!
Thinking of Rabbi Klein always brings a smile to my face. So nice to see a picture of him (wheres his face???)! I have always respected him, and will always respect him as a friend, mohel, sofer, Shu”b, chossid……. I hope the yidden of Postville know how lucky they are to have him there.

The Best Mohel Ever!

Fixing a Sefer Torah while in tallis and teffilin, the Barditchover would love this one…
Actually i think its a crayola marker smarty
It is a quil. Look carefuly.
The talis is called “Rasha”b talis”.
Rabbi Klein is a REAL chossid and mentch.
ירבו כמותו במחננו
you are correct!
kudos to.
A true holy yid!!
Hating? Huh? I know that man VERY well, and to know him is to love him! Where in the world do you see any hate? I am asking simple questions for someone to enlighten me. The Rebbe Rashab? Oh, so the fr last 100 years Lubavitch has become more “modern” and Yankel Klein is leaidng the charge back the basics of “real” Lubavitch? Come on, I know him better than that. Since you don’t have anything to say about the points I am asking about, why don’t you go back to love othe people?
Fond memories of Yankel as our son’s mohel in Johannesburg, South Africa almost 28 years ago!
Dont be hating or jealous! I highly doubt Rabbi Klein is using a PEN! Someone correct me if I am wrong, but isnt his Tallis “The Reshab Tallis?” The Rebbe had one just like it….
GO YANKEL KLEIN
Reb Yankel is the ultimate ‘multi talanted’ man.
great Mohel, great Sofer, and the best lung checker ever..!
Is he using a PEN? And what type of Tallis is he wearing? He is a Lubavitcher (see his Tefillin), but his Tallis is not!
