Dear Readers Sheyichyu,
Sholom U’brocha!
As we approach the Yom Tov of Sukkos, please find this new edition of “Leben Mitten Rebben”.
This year marks twenty years since Tishrei 5752 (תשנ”ב). Many will recall the scores of occurrences that took place that year, beyond the ordinary Tishrei “structure” – and especially on Simchas Torah. It seemed as though the Rebbe was infusing more and more into the Chassidim, being in the open more than usual, and charging them with many Heavenly revelations.
In preparing this essay for print, we spoke with individuals who were present at the time so that they may each share their personal memories. Many of them recounted with great emotion that while standing near the Rebbe on Simchas Torah that year, they noticed that the Rebbe did not look in perfect health. Nevertheless, the Rebbe danced and celebrated with utmost vibrancy infusing unparalleled liveliness in the air and compelling all those present to join along with him. The Chassidim were aware of the fact that the Rebbe was literally showering them with spiritual energy, despite any costs…
As it turned out, this was the last Simchas Torah before the Rebbe’s stroke in Adar I, 5752. As Chassidim, we are certain beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Rebbe continues to pour Brochos and Kochos on his special day of Simchas Torah, especially to those who come to spend the Yom Tov in his holy presence.
It is anticipated that the attached composition will inspire its readers to strengthen their Hiskashrus to the Rebbe in these auspicious days and to make extra effort to be with the Rebbe on Simchas Torah.
A Gut Yom Tov!

And of course we all remember the great z’chus on the first day of Succos that year we all had-AND OUT OF THE ORDINARY SEDER-that the Rebbe stood for hours on end watching as each and every one of us made the TWO brochos on his lulav & esrog with the Rebbe intensely watching and answering “AMEN” to the thousands of Chassidim’s brochos.
