Let me take this opportunity to thank the wonderful Shluchim in St. Louis Missouri, Rabbi Yosef and Shiffy Landa, for sharing this story with us. It’s really what Chanuka is all about. Jewish Pride, Jewish strong beliefs, and the continuation of these throughout all of our generations! One big kudos to Mayor Koch, for his staunch pride in being a Yid and his “endorsement” of the public Menorahs! May we really soon light the Menorah in the Third Beis Hamikdosh with the Geulah Shleimah!

Mayor Koch A”H displayed his Jewish pride and his Simchas Hachaim right and left throughout his life in NYC. So glad he demonstrated it in S. Lo in a way that helped the shluchim and all the Jews there as well.
