Shluchos spending this week in New York for the annual Kinus Hashluchos convention and are debating what to bring home for their children, should make a stop on Eastern Parkway.
The Shluchim Office is offering a new monopoly-based game that features concepts and themes from Chabad-Lubavitch philosophy and life in the Rebbe’s Shlichus.
“Merkaz Shlichus,” in both Hebrew and English, is being offered free of charge for Shluchim families. Only shipping costs apply.
Months in the making, the board game complete with the cards, scenarios, properties and tokens, was developed by Lamplighters, an organization in Israel which provides activities for Chabad children in their leisure time.
Similar to the classic American game, “Merkaz Shlichus” will have players moving around the game board buying or trading property and developing Chabad centers or educational institutions.
Its first launch will be for Shluchim’s children and then possibly for the wider Chabad community, COLlive.com was told.
The game will be shipped out in time for Pesach this year. Orders must be made in advance through the Shluchim Office.
So curious ????
The shluchos are here. If the game is ready, give it to them! Why do they have to pay $18 shipping? If it’s not ready yet, I will put it in the Pesach packages I send every year, which I pay for. Why should my kids have to pay? They can contact the Shluchim office & let them know I’ll pick them up. As #1 says, $18 IS NOT FREE. Sounds like trickery to me.
This irks me. Not because the game doesn’t look like fun and inspiring but because I created a Rebbe turned monopoly game with a fourth grade class for yud Shevat and sent the PDF printouts and instructions to collive.com for free!!
Why wasn’t our game advertised???
How do you get to jail?
will it cost if i pick it up
The Rebbe said that. If everyone believed that, that would true love of every Jew. Not this us and them game.
they would offer that they can be picked up in crown heights almost every shliach will have someone that can pick up a package in crown heights within the next 3 months
if you want people to pay for it so it should be worth something then dont call it free call it a sale or something else
“monopoly”, shlichus?
you cant make this stuff up! LOL
possible to give a CH address or willing to pick up so wont have to pay the $18 shipping fee???
Who can i reach to buy one??
adorable!
maybe the old board game called “Risk” is more on target ??
cool!
$18 isn’t free.
