Heading to Summer with Seforim

Most Chabad Yeshivos around North America and the world have concluded their learning year with bochurim heading out to lead summer camps or go on Merkos Shlichus visitation to small Jewish communities.

On-hand for their summer adventure will be the new Toras Menachem – chelek nun (volume 50), a compilation of talks by the Lubavitcher Rebbe that spans the period from Shavuos 5727, through Erev Rosh Hashanah 5728.

Some 400 bochurim were given the new book by Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim for their participation in the 10th annual learning campaign in preparation for Gimmel Tammuz, the Rebbe’s yartzeit.

Many of the sichos in the new Toras Menachem have never before appeared in print and others have never been published in book form. “This will be a most appropriate tzeida laderech for the bochurim,” said Vaad’s director Rabbi Tzvi Altein.

Over 2000 bochurim in 50 Yeshivos the world over united in the intense 4-week study program in the Rebbe’s sichos and letters focusing on ways of Hiskashrus.

“There is tremendous interest among the bochurim,” Rabbi Altein said. “We chose easier Sichos, to make the learning easily accessible, but the message of Hiskashrus is of course, very powerful.”

The bochurim were rewarded for their efforts with tickets to New York and prizes of seforim: 20 sets of Sefer hama’amorim 5711-5728 and 10 sets of Sefer Hasichos.

Every bochur whose average was over 90% on all tests (some 400 bochurim) got the new Toras Menachem.
