A group of wealthy members of the Jewish community in Moscow spent a full weekend touring the Holy land with Rabbi Berel Lazar, Chief Rabbi of Russia and Head Shliach of the region.
Instead of prayers at the Marina Roscha Synagogue, they spent Shabbos in Chevron at the Me’arat haMachpela with the brave Jewish residents and the local Shliach Rabbi Daniel Cohen.
On Shabbos afternoon they visited the gravesite of Rebbetzin Menucha Rochel Slonim, daughter of the Mitteler Rebbe, Rabbi Dovber Schneuri.
After Shabbos they were given the rare privilege of visiting the gravesite of Yehoshua bin nun in Kifl Hares, a Palestinian town in the northern West Bank. Israeli Defense Forces provided security as the group prayed.
The tours included Masada, the Dead Sea and the Kotel in Jerusalem and was organized by Fleishman Productions.
Seeing the rebbe perjected on the rock reminded me of what chaz”l tell us. That when Moshiach comes Now!, the rock will scream out.
