A recent gathering during the induction of new Hamburg Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Shlomo Bistritzky, brought together 24 Shluchim from fourteen German cities to discuss the future for Chabad in Germany. Also present was Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, who has been involved in German Jewish life for more than 30 years and helped establish many of the Chabad Houses there.
Together with Rabbi Yisroel Diskind, Head Shliach to Germany, many new ideas were discussed and developed.
Upon his return Rabbi Kotlarsky announced that six new Shluchim would be joining the Rebbe’s army in Germany in the near future.
Two of the Shluchim will be opening up Chabad centers in new cities, while another two will be setting up on university campuses, and the remaining two will be joining existing Chabad centers.
