R’ Shneur Volkov, a long time Crown Heights resident, passed away on Tuesday, Tammuz 17, 5773.
He was 78.
After emigrating from the Soviet Union, he devoted his life to sincere prayer and the study of Torah in freedom in the United States.
R’ Volkov was a long-time congregant at FREE Shul in Crown Heights, and in later years in 770 Montgomery St.
He is survived by his wife Devorah Volkov, daughter, Aidel Gorkhov of Flatbush and son Pesach Volkov of Crown Heights, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who follow the ways of the Torah and chassidut.
The levaya will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, leaving Shomrei Hadas in Boro Park at 10:00 am and passing by 770 at 10:45 am.
Shiva will be at 760 Montgomery street #2H.
