In a period of ten days, 12 presentations are being delivered, by Dr. David Nesenoff to Chabad communities of Northern California.
Nesenoff, as part of his broader worldwide tour, is visiting Berkeley, Palo Alto, Novato, Walnut Creek, U.C. Davis, Sacramento, Roseville, Vacaville, Fresno, and San Francisco.
From October 13th to 22nd, Nesenoff is speaking to Chabad House communities, campus students, C-Teen club youths, and joint Chabad/JCC venues each evening in addition to a Shabbaton with Rabbi Mendy Cohen in Sacramento.
Dr. Nesenoff, who is well known amongst Chabad for using great humor to inspire his audiences “to fight anti-Jewish by doing Jewish,” has also added to his unique Helen Thomas story other speaking topics: Shabbos, the Mechtiza and Women, Chabad, Chasidus, and a Sholom Bayis couples seminar which he recently conducted for standing room only at Rabbi Mendel Bluming‘s Chabad House in Potomac Maryland.
In Northern California, students and community members gathered at the Bancroft Hotel on Sunday in Berkeley, California where they laughed and were moved for an hour and a half.
“They were falling off their seats with laughter,” Rabbi Yehuda Ferris of Berkeley Chabad said. “I know specifically of someone in the audience who David inspired, the very next day to start delivering challahs to fellow Jews!”
In the new Novato Chabad House of Rabbi Menachem and Adina Landa, “There was a packed house!” Rabbi Landa said. “We weren’t sure of the value of bringing in speakers, but Dr. Nesenoff is exceptionally inspiring and we already want to bring him back!”
Nesenoff, who prior to traveling on this unique back to back Chabad House ten day tour, spoke last week for the Rosenblum’s Chabad House Shabbaton in Pittsburgh and for Rabbi Nosson Meretsky‘s Penn State University Chabad.
The Northern California tour concludes with a red eye flight to New York where Nesenoff is the guest speaker for Rabbi Joseph Gopin‘s annual dinner at the Greater Hartford Chabad. Nesenoff will also speak at Chabad of Eastern Connecticut with Rabbi Avraham Sternberg, before attending the International Campus Shabbaton in Crown Heights, where Nesenoff will be a guest presenter to the students and campus Shluchim for Shabbos. He will be delivering five presentations over the course of Shabbos.
“This past year I have had the zchus of traveling to almost 200 Chabad houses throughout the U.S., Canada, England, Ireland and Australia,” Dr. Nesenoff said. “I not only get to inspire and meet incredible Shluchim and Shluchos, but I get to see the miraculous work of the Rebbe first hand.”
