The south african jewish community is by far the most knowledgeable in terms of base education. However having said that this poses a diffuculty fo chabad because people are steadfast in their traditional wya- which includes the shunning of anybody that marries out of the faith. bUT BECDAUSE THEY ARE INGRAINED IN THEIR TRADITIONAL WAYS AND HAVE A BASIC JEWISH EDUCATION THEY DO NOT READILT ACCEPT and embrace a more religeous way of life. Apparently, it’s a photo of Chabad’s Rabbi Masinter, with a community member and former Pres Bill Clinton at a Chabad event in SA. Shows that life’s happening there for Jewish comm.
