Chabad Dutchess – Rhinebeck Jewish Center in New York was alerted Wednesday about anti Semitic graffiti spray painted on three local stop signs.
One of them was on the property of Rhinebeck Savings Bank parking lot.
“We are shocked and saddened by the hateful and cowardly act,” Chabad Shliach Rabbi Hanoch Hecht said in a statement.
“In the 21st century where the value and benefits of religious tolerance and acceptance has been proven, an act such as this makes us realize we have much more work to do.
“We hope that the community at large will reject such hateful expression and instead move towards creating a beautiful and diverse community.”
