This weekend an estimated 35,000 Berkshire Hathaway shareholders, their representatives and family members will attend a shareholder’s meeting in Omaha, Nebraska.
The investment company’s owner, Warren Buffet, will address the conference.
Shluchim Rabbi Mendel and Shani Katzman of Nebraska will be providing the Jewish participants with a Minyan, Kosher food and Torah classes, Chabad.org reports.
Participants will also be able to attend Shabbat services with Chabad, who rented a conference room in a hotel just across the street from the annual meeting’s location in the Qwest Center.
The Katzmans report that about 100 people stopped by through the course of last year’s conference, and the rabbi expects more this year. He plans on delivering kosher food to people’s hotel rooms, as well.
Katzman will also park a specially-outfitted recreational vehicle – essentially a mobile Chabad House – outside the meeting. Kosher refreshments will be available on board, as well as provide a place to pray, learn Torah, or put on tefillin. On Friday and Sunday, the “Mitzvah Mobile” will also cruise through the downtown district to greet visitors and invite them inside.
