I know Mrs Rochi Shemtov; if she saw her name being faked here she would protest in a moment as would her many relatives who use the Net (for good things).

Did this farbrengen happen???

I the Rochi post a real one? I’m getting confused from this whoele story!!! Is this all real or everyone trying to teach lessons by faking who they are???

Chaya,
My wife, Rochi, is presently in NY and would gladly accept an invitation to farbreng with a group of your friends in Crown Heights over Shabbos.
Don’t miss the opportunity.

Shlichus: Reality or a Dream
May 27, 2010 4:07 pm

“Shlichus became the spinal cord of the Chabad lubavitch Chassidus especially in our generation.”

What happens when “reality” is discovered, that approx two hundred young couples are waiting for a shlichus and simply can’t find anything appropriate?

(yes, I know that if you are willing to go “anywhere”, there are places like Antartica – an entire continent, that needs a Head Shaliach… for the penguins)

A person without a spinal cord is paralyzed c”v, so if shlichus is our spinal cord….

the first chaya obviously had hers edited before submitting it, the second and the same chaya just wrote a comment without passing it through for ten people’s edits and additions first.

Shlichus became the spinal cord of the Chabad lubavitch Chassidus especially in our generation.
the question is now.
how do we respond to the fact that many Chassdim of all ages are now effected by the secular world in an ever increasing measure.
Our values are being challenged by what we see on main street.
There is more people going to colleges and universities, the dress code is under threat etc etc
Are we becoming a modern orthodox Chassidic movement

Much blessings and success!!!

I dont get it
May 27, 2010 1:09 pm

Is this supposed to make teenagers or young adults stop and think “oh, maybe this is my problem” or is it to get the adults to realize they could be doing better. Either way, this is OBVIOUSLY not a teenage girl, and I think “Chaya” is deceiving everyone to accept his/her view point. I think this it totally unprofessional and wrong for anyone to do. If someone has something to say, say it directly from yourself. Again – What you are saying could be all 100% correct, and I think farbrengens would do a lot of good in the community,… Read more »

Farbrengen
May 27, 2010 12:43 pm

Ps. I think an online fabrengen is an amazing idea!

the point of a Farbrengen is to be together so how about making a Farbrengen offline together with people and sharing true feelings instead of just sitting online and hiding behind a computer.

whats the game?
May 27, 2010 12:21 pm

“Yes, there will always be those people who just don’t get it” apparently you can’t understand them, yet you are criticizing them for not understanding you, isn’t that paradoxical? and besides, “Eizehu Chochom Halomed Mikol Adam” if you are smart you will learn from every person and not let the not good parts of them let you think that it has spoiled the good parts of them, doesn’t every person hasve something to improve? even to a degree where someone acts differently then what they supposedly believe in, because the fact that they act differently doesn’t prove they don’t believe… Read more »
