Picture of the Day
Is 770 taking security threats literally? The Rambam, a codification of Jewish law and ethics Lubavitchers learn from daily, has been chained-down to the the wooden table. Eager Chasidim who wish to learn a chapter or three are left to remain standing. More

The reason why its chained down is because thre should always be a copy of that days rambam that you can acces immidetly without spending, possibly, half an hour looking for one.
a chassidish man once came into 770 and aske why is the Rebbes chair not chained? The lubavitcher answered that by us it is out of the question to even think of taking THE REBBES CHAIR!
I agree to the person that wrote that it is easier and available to use because it is in one place and not running all over 770.
I see you don’t dispute what I said, though!!
BE”H NEVER CH”V
If 770 is controlled by thieves, that’s what you’ll get. They see everyone as being just like them, so what do you expect? They believe that, like them, the bochurim will take what isn’t theirs.
When will R’ Krinsky finally get rid of these frauds?
I agree. Don’t get caught up with the the stupid stuff collive! i really enjoy your website. but, dude, be real here!
If you feel sick its probably because you are!
What does it have to do with presuming anash as thieves?
Its just to make sure that it’s always accessible, and in one place.
vifil ah shir letzanus! what are you trying to make out of 770.
when the adults makes so much l’tzanus out of 770, why should the children and younger generation respect it.
and to #7 yes litvish yeshivas have things chained up. it’s a convenience! nu
It is insulting to presume that anash are theives who would steal anything not chained down! Which normal shul has seforim chained down?? Imagine a Litvish shul that chains down the Daf Yomi gemorah?! I feel sick and need to vomit…
Wakko,
This is done all over the world in many Mosdos!
While the standing part might be an issue, that has nothing to do with the chains (per se, all they need is longer chains)
it’s been like that for years.
They must be secure in their learning!
COL Don’t get stupid here this thing has been arount for 10 years, if you continue with these posts you will become like the other lubavitch lame duck sites
so be real.
There’s always been a premium placed on those Lubavitchers who’ve spent time in “Tfisa” so I suppose this is an attempt to put the Rambam in “Tfisa” — to give him a higher status.
