TONY LEYS – Des Moines Register
Sholom Rubashkin, the former top executive at the Agriprocessors meatpacking plant in Postville, should be released from custody on $500,000 bond while he awaits trial on multiple federal counts of bank fraud and of helping illegal immigrants obtain false documents, a judge ruled this morning
Rubashkin has been in federal custody since Nov. 14. Prosecutors had contended he might flee if let out of jail.
Rubashkin is expected to be released from jail Thursday morning.
His wife, Leah Rubashkin, expressed relief outside the courtroom. She said she could not wait to welcome her husband home.
“We’ll give him a warm meal that he hasn’t had in two months,” she said. “And he’ll be surrounded by his children, who love him and miss him.”
If justice was finally executed, what issue is there with posting positive comments. Why do you always have to be antithetic?
and if you cant think, dont post. But all you people saying Didan Notzach etc, did it ever occur to you that you may actually be HURTING Mr. Rubashkin?
This is a good start, but we all know he has a huge battle ahead. Keep davenning, saying Tehillim & writing letters of support. I am sure that we will all rally round & do what we can to make sure Mr. Rubashkin never spends another day in jail.
to number 28 – well we obviesly need a seuda hodaha, and it hopefull wont upset the governmemnt, but actualy show them how happy we are for his return, and we just want to thank hashem for it. any objections?
I think every jew has to be happy that the law of return will not be used against them, heaven forbid hey should need bail.
DIDAN NATZACH
last time after his release, everyone was dancing giving out vodka, and celebrating, this upset the people and got him aressted, we have to understand that he is now back with his family, and “lumir zich halten in di ramin.”
do you really have to put up such a picture? Is the guy entitled to any privacy?
MAZAL TOV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WE R ALL SUPPORTIN U!!!!
WE WILL PREVAIL-HASHEM IS ON OUR SIDE BC OF ALL OUR TEHILIM AND FASTIN

enough fighting! Lets just be happy! And stop bashing each other! Lets just thank hashem!
SHVAT is an acronym for Shmiyus Bsoros Tovos
Hearing good tidings.
More good tidings for all of Klal YisraE-l. Amen.
there’s ALOT still ahead… so let’s keep Davening and being positive.
i hope they learn from last time as big as this simchas is- do NOT go overboard- thats what got the authorities to put him back in jail- if he was so releaved must mean….
ONLY GOOD NEWS BY US ALL!
watch out what u write it may come back to hunt u @ your own bail hearing
don’t be naive that the goverment is not reading all this!!!!!!!
Hopefully the decision by the District Court addressed the issue by the Magistrate Judge that he is a flight risk due to his dual citizenship.
Due to the travel of this matter, it is incumbent upon the Jewish community to continue to show its support for Agriprocessors and the Rubashkin family. He still has to spend time and energy preparing for trial unless some type of plea bargain can be arranged which would be just under the circumstances.
I think the family has suffered enough.
Keep on Praying and helping in every way we can – Yes We Can!
thank you hashem!! now he doesnt have to be in jail he can be with his fam
Bs”d
Baruch Hashem that he will be reunited with his family. Moshiach should come before his trial-and we should all have an immediate Geulah and hear only good news!!!
What is dida nutzach?
keep on praying!
i am so happy for him and his family
this is a beggining of a didah notzach 4sure!
and dont say its not CUZ IT IS!
Yes, that is my legal opinion. Moving forward, he is up against a big fight which he may, or may not CH”V, win.
As a personal choice, I would flee to Africa. I’d rather live there than end up going back to the slammer. I would not fault it against someone who wants to live out their life in peace.
The only thing is, it would screw a lot of things up for all the rabbis and families that have come forward.
You are a real idiot-that’s all you can say at a moment like this!!!
To all the responding with the dumb Didan notzach respond i must say, this is a small step in a very very complicated case in which he will need alot of help from a good team of lawyers and from G-D and not necessary in this order
Just let the process take it’s course and hope for the best
Let’s just hope he doesn’t run and screw things up. I know I would run to a place with no extradition agreement, but there is a lot on the line here.
I am so happy that he is released, instead of sitting in a jail, he can now be with his family.
Halevai Vayter!
