Camp is booming at Bais Rivkah Day Camp! The camp has expanded tremendously this summer, with close to 900 campers having an incredible time with activities, games, shiur, and trips.
From Kiddy Camp, to regular camp, to the pioneers, each day is packed to the maximum with exciting and interactive activities. The very first day began with a rally for Yud Gimel Tamuz, along with a Chaim Fogelman concert. Each day since has brought with it surprises, such as a ventriloquist, or dress up days, like twin day, and so much more.
The girls have an incentive program, called Neshamapoly, with a focus on Ahavas Yisroel and Good Middos, as well as making the Rebbe proud. Weekly themes include additional missions to look out for.
Once a week, the girls are off on another exciting trip, with a late night major trip for older division and an Overnight at Camp Emunah for the Pioneers. The girls in grades 1-7 also get to choose from a variety of clubs, such as slime making, choir, drama, and sports.
The list of activities goes on. The girls bake weekly delicacies, such as apple crumble or colorful cupcakes. Campers get to express their creativity in the art room with plaster and paint, and have complete masterpieces when they finish. BRDC also invested in our own kiln, where girls form and paint their very own pottery pieces.
The nine days were filled filled with activities that were both tochendik and fun, such as viewing a model Beis Hamikdash out of lego and participating in Color War. The team names were two of the 12 Pesukim, Yagati and Veshinantem. Using badges, songs, and presentations, the girls spent the day learning in a Chayusdike manner.
A highlight for the pioneers is their film, where they are professionally directed in song, dance and drama, and will produce a film by the end of the summer.
BRDC would like to thank its devoted staff, under the leadership of Benjy Stock: Mrs Faigy Moscowitz, Kiddie Camp, Mrs Sara Blau Grades 1-5, and Mrs Chaya Deitsch, Pioneers as well as all the head staff and staff that put their entire heart into giving the campers a positive, Chassidishe summer. It is to their credit that the buildings are packed to capacity with smiling faces and eager campers.
And after a successful first month, campers and staff are back for another amazing month at BRDC!
