No seat was empty at the Berman Performing Arts Center as the 8th Day Band took the stage this past Sunday in West Bloomfield, Michigan.
The crowd was ready for a great show as Rabbi Shmuly Marcus and his brother Bentzi Marcus took the stage and played their opening number, “Tatenyu.”
Throughout the show fans were calling out their favorite tunes from the band’s latest album “Chasing Prophecy” – based on the teachings of chassidus – and singing and clapping along the entire show.
The event was sponsored by Aish in the Woods, a litvish outreach organization in Oak Park, as 8th Day continues their national tour with sold audiences at every stop.
After the show a large part of the crowd stayed to get their CD or poster signed by the band.
Rabbi Simcha Tolwin, Director of Aish Detroit and the event coordinator, was very excited about the turnout and the crowds exuberance.
“We really loved it, you brought so much joy!” an excited fan told the band after the concert.
IN OUR LIVING ROOM, IN A JEWISH HOME, THE CHABAD REBBE (zT”L) AND REB NOACH(ZT”L) ARE ON THE SAME WALL. I AM SO PROUD TO HAVE BEEN ASSOCIAED WITH BOTH OF THEM. THEIR MESSAGE WAS, AND REMAINS A BOUT AUCDUS AND BRINGING HASHEM’S CHILDREN HOME. IS WHAT YOU ARE THINKING A BOUT THAT? MAY WE ALL MERIT TO BUILD EACH OTHER AND ELEVATE ONE ANOTHER WITH HASHEM’S HELP AND HIS KINDNESS.
What is chabad??? Love Aish!
brings moshiach
maybe this will open their eyes but i doubt it….marcus brothers, you’re the best!!!!!
. We all know who started the Kiruv work -Hafotzas Hayahadus- the Rebbeh. The entire litvesheh world laughed at us and belittled us bc of it…Now after seeing our enormous success, they lie befarhessiya at all their conventions and meetings that they are the ones who started Kiruv work, taking the entire credit to themselves…I don’t think it’s a big Mitzvah to help them in this area. First help our Mosdos then you’ll help them.
A Shliach.
