לומר שקשה מיתתן של צדיקים לפני הקב”ה, כיום שנשתברו בו הלוחות

Great article but......

Sami Rohr was and still is a great person whom we should all not just admire but also aspire to emulate. This is a very moving article but I am just wondering why there is not one mention of the Rebbe in the entire article. What was Sami Rohr’s connection to the Rebbe? Any information about such a great person and his connection to the Rebbe would give us a better connection and understanding of this great giant of a person.

what an amazing man

You are a great comfort to all those fortunate enough to know. And to those that will still get to know you. You are a great friend. (And Uncle)

the lesson which i learned from MR Rohr, was his speech at the Kinus, when he mentioned his Hakoar Hatoiv for rabbi rosenfeld of Columbia for introducing him to the Rebe and bringing him to ChabaD.

He also acknowledged Rabbi Zarch of Harvard who enlightened mr rohr to the work of campus shluchim, and who with mr rohe initiated the funding of the Chabad on campus. now run by Rabbi Dubravski.

A person like Sami Rohr only comes around once in a generation. We were lucky he was with us to show us how beautiful of a person one can be. May we all less from him selflessness and devotion to the Rebbe’s inyanim.
