A string of burglaries occurred over the weekend in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood of Los Angeles, targeting several kosher restaurants along the renowned Pico Boulevard.
The incidents occurred during the early hours of Shabbos morning, casting a shadow over the local Jewish community’s observances.
Law enforcement agencies have initiated an investigation into the series of burglaries, which occurred within the 9300 – 9400 block of W Pico Boulevard.
The Los Angeles Police Department reports that the burglaries affected five kosher eateries, which appeared to involve a break-in through shattered windows.
The primary objective of the burglaries seemed to be the theft of cash from the restaurants’ registers. The suspects, described as individuals dressed in dark clothing, gained entry by breaking the windows of the targeted establishments.
Among the businesses impacted were Nagila Pizza, Fisherman’s Bowl, Shanghai Diamond Garden, SushiKo, and Shalom Grill.
Law enforcement agencies are actively seeking any information that could aid in identifying and apprehending the suspects.

My wife & I were there last year Mamish at this time. My heart goes out to all the owners of each respective establishment. May everything be returned back to normal for them soon.
When I worked at college book store 55 yrs. ago, I was told to leave light on in the store, put all cash in safe from the cash register, and leave drawer of register open, to see there’s nothing to be taken.
It worked
Sadly that doesn’t help prevent windows form being broken which is more expensive to fix than what is in most register anyways. But yes, it helps avoid them breaking the registers and or stealing them.
if the empty register is visible from the street
Wake up call, get out!!!
And go where exactly?
Moshiach – the only solution.
Correct! There’s no place to run and hide!
Oh yes there is!…
