As the new school year opened, the Shluchim Office announced the hiring of several new highly qualified individuals who will be joining the staff of the Nigri International Shluchim Online School.
“We are excited to have such a strong and dedicated team at the head of our school divisions,” said Rabbi Moshe Shemtov, director of the school. “Their collective years of experience and professional expertise in education will surely benefit hundreds of young Shluchim. We wish all students, teachers and staff a shnas hatzlacha.”
Mrs. Malkie Gurkow is taking up the role of Americas division principal to replace outgoing principal Mrs. Gitty Rosenfeld. She holds a Master of Science in management of educational institutions, has been involved in professional Chinuch for 27 years and is experienced with curricula, administration and more.
“In a concentrated effort to provide a quality education, we will do our utmost to focus on each student individually and continue to keep our class sizes small,” said Mrs. Gurkow.
Rabbi Avrohom Wolowik, principal of Cheder Chabad of Monsey and a renowned mechanech, will be sharing his experience as Teaching Staff Supervisor. He will be an observer and mentor, ensuring that the school’s staff and curriculum maintain the highest standards.
Mrs. Leah Sasson, a veteran educator with a decade of experience at the renowned King David and Torah Academy Primary Schools in South Africa, will be taking on the role of Assistant Principal of the English-speaking Euro division. She will ease the administration burdens of the division and facilitate swift and sure communication.
Rabbi Kuty Kalmanson will be joining the new Asia division where he will serve as the first Parent-Teacher Liaison. Rabbi Kalmanson will focus on facilitating communication between parents, teachers and online school staff to ensure parents are properly informed, requests are heard by the right contacts, and any issues are resolved promptly and properly.
Since its inception, the Nigri International Shluchim Online School has revolutionized the methods of chinuch available for the young Shluchim. The new staff join thanks to the public’s generosity during the recent Million for Shluchim’s Children Charidy campaign.
In addition to providing high levels of academic success which allow the students to easily integrate into more traditional further education, the young shluchim also benefit from social interaction with their peers in a chasidishe environment.
The Nigri International Shluchim Online School was launched in 2005 by The Shluchim Office, the only organization established at the request of the Lubavitcher Rebbe to specifically provide for the personal and outreach needs of Shluchim worldwide.
