Crown Heights businessman and donor Yerachmeal Jacobson was inspired by the joy of his daughter’s l’chaim engagement party to pledge a large donation towards the hall where the event was taking place.
Family and friends gathered earlier this month for the lchaim engagement party of Menacham Mendel Leiter and Esther Jacobson held at the Rosa Hall at Bais Rivkah’s Campus Chomesh in Crown Heights.
Yerachmeal Jacobson, father of the Kallah, who is also a member of the Bais Rivkah Board of Directors, decided to channel his joyous simcha by sharing with others.
During the event, he pledged $36,000 to Bais Rivkah, which will assist in their upcoming Charidy fundraising campaign.
One of the goals of the Charidy campaign is to raise funds for the renovation of the Rosa Hall, Rabbi Moshe Pinson, Director of Development of Bais Rivkah, told COLlive.
A full renovation is in the plans for the spacious events hall, with repairs to the air conditioning system as well.
“We are working to restore the hall to its former beauty so that it will be a beautiful and upscale venue for Crown Heights Simchas,” Pinson said.
Any way to keep it affordable ??!! Please remember the times we are in . We need affordable not just upscale . For many of us middle class ppl , corona was the straw that broke the camels back .
