Some 3,500 children from over 200 locations worldwide participated in the global children’s Birchas Hachama contest.
Organizers say they have received entries from many countries, including Italy, Australia, England, France, Israel, Canada, Argentina, Venezuela, and the United States.
The program’s coordinators report that they are still struggling to decipher the many French and Italian mission cards.
Dozens of emails from children requesting to join in what is now known as the world’s largest collective Birchas Hachama event, are still filtering in to BirchasHachamo@gmail.com.
Due to the huge success of the campaign, coordinators have extended the deadline to send in mission cards until Motzei Shabbos 11:00 PM EST.
The raffle will take place on April 26, 2009 – Iyar 2, 5769. Winners will be posted on the website birchashachama.biz.
