The ignorance of you ppl. The Parade was created for the ppl of the west indies, Latin America and South America to celebrate and represent where there from. It is unfortunate that some ppl dont know how to act during this time BUT DONT LET A FEW BAD APPLES SPOIL THE REST. We are all not bad ppl. millions of ppl come out to this parade and if we were such ‘savages’ the results of the parade could have been alot worse. BUT ITS NOT. SO I AM ASKING YOU NICELY TO TRY TO BE A BIT MORE UNDERSTANDING TO… Read more »

Lets face it. No African American in Crown Heights marches in this parade. It is only imports, from East Flatbush and Flatbush.
Why not have the parade each year on Linden Blvd, so that all the people will not have to take cars, busses and walk to Crown Heights?!

To #5: Who's the hypocrite?

I think the West-Indian community probably would prefer their parade be in more prestigious(?) Manhattan, but the politicians who always preach about racial inequality would, no doubt, not allow this parade to move uptown , for obvious reasons; so, stop the pontificating rhetoric about equality, hypocrisy etc. v’diy la’chkimah.

Other Way

Chabad parades on Eastern Parkway go towards Jerusalem, rom west to east. The goyim parade the other way.

So, Yom Kippur is not messy?

One day a year and you guys constantly complain about everything. I don’t care about the parade, but there is too much whining on controversial topics.

Kudos to sanitation and nypd
September 3, 2013 7:14 am

I live on EP and it was a dirty mess last night. At 1 am there were sanitation workers in snow plows gathering all the garbage left in the streets, and this mornings- well I have never seen them so clean!
So happy and grateful they took care of it so fast!

Slight difference – we don’t shoot each other, and we don’t pretend not to know who killed the baby.
Our neighbors dance to the music as they walk through the passage way along Kingston, whereas the cops tell our out of town guests to avoid the parade as they may get hurt or mugged or who knows what.
We celebrate, and everyone can enjoy for a week.
They celebrate, and the funerals last all week.
Small difference. Unless you have a brain.

The noise was ridiculous

I am 4 blocks from EP but I was woken up very early by noise and all day there was noise from bikes helicopters and people. B”H it’s over.

What a talent that you got so many pick of the parade without any untzniyus women in them, that’s almost impossible!

Only police?
September 2, 2013 10:37 pm

Looks like there were more policemen than revelers.

there is a boss
September 2, 2013 10:04 pm

the actual parade was over much earlier than usual bh

Nice to have fun.
Lost opportunity.
Yesterday a one-yr-old Afro American boy was shot in Brownsville, Brooklyn NY.
Why wasn’t this opportunity used to make a powerful statement, or demonstration by Brooklyn’s leaders?
A number of Afro-American politicians were at the parade.
Tragic.
“Leaders?’

Chabad Parades are wholesome family events, whereas these parades are dangerous and inappropriate attire is the common gear.

Don't Worry
September 2, 2013 8:24 pm

Soon Brooklyn will be a hipster Utopia devoid of all the criminal element that infect it and they will price everyone out including some of us.

Make that complaint to Mayor Bloomberg and see if he cares. Which I think he doesn’t because he if did he would have gotten rid of no pants day.

You mean the men in suits with earplugs in their ears? It’s easy, they filled out an application and went through a process to see if they qualify. Simple.

I don't understand
September 2, 2013 8:10 pm

Why are there shootings?

Stop the Maddness.
September 2, 2013 8:09 pm

what about all your chabad parades? hypocrite

Stop the Maddness.
September 2, 2013 7:57 pm

Stop this crazy “parade”. Move it to Atlantic ave or to Manhattan where all other parades go. Why should our area be inundated with all sorts of @%&+ and we get stranded on a day off from work?

aha
September 2, 2013 7:55 pm

ah! so that’s why its called: COL for Chabad On Line because for any lubavitcher Chossid it is extremely important to know all about the labor day parade
