Gimmel Tammuz, being a time when all Chabad Chasidim go to the Rebbe’s Ohel, many Lubavitchers meet up with others they haven’t seen in some time.
For one group of friends, meeting on Gimmel Tammuz wasn’t something that happened by chance, rather it was a long-ago planned reunion of the 8th grade of Oholei Torah of the year 5748/1988.
At the home of classmate Mordechai Shapiro, Shluchim and businessmen, all former classmates, gathered to reunite and farbreng, in the merit of the complete and speedy recovery of their dear friend Levi Yitzchok Deitsch ben Tzirel.
Rabbi Faitel Levin, their 8th grade teacher, joined the gathering of young men, to share memories, reminisce and inspire.
Speakers included Mordechai Shapiro, Nechemia Deitsch, Rabbi Levin, Moishe Shapiro, Aaron Isaac Benjaminson and the class’ favorite principal Rabbi Sholom Ber Halberstam.
A beautiful slide show presentation which included memories, photos and favorite slogans was shown.
After the prepared schedule a spontaneous Farbrengen began, which went on until 3:00 am.
This event was organized by Meir Geisinsky and friends.
call him its a good idea

I SAY TO YOU ALL, IM GLAD I WAS ABLE TO PROVIDE YOU WITH SOME ENTERTAINMENT BUT, TRUST YOU I DONT!!! YOU ARE NOT HONEST AND THIS IS ALL JUST A GAME TO YOU!!!! I AM HONEST WITH MYSELF AND NONE OF YOU SHAMEFULL PEOPLE CAN TAKE THAT FROM ME!!! I WILL ALWAYS KEEP MY WORD!!!!! YOU ARE ALL A… Read more »
It is with great sadness that I now realize who Zevi is; how he can say “I am not your Chabad client” after seeing the outpouring of chessed during a family situation, and how we in the community went out of our way to make him feel at home, is beyond me. Zev Engel, you are like many who as soon as they are finished eating from our bowl in bad times, spit in it to celebrate the good times. The difference is that you should know better if you were indeed in that Oholei Torah class with some guys… Read more »
If you really took responsibility for your actions then you would AGREE with me! The organizer made it clear he reached out to everyone. Knowing who he is and having a couple of friends from that class you say is yours, I take his word over yours. If he really wanted to photoshop a yarmulke on after the fact, it was only out of RESPECT for you that people not know how far you have fallen. And maybe had you gone, your friends would have welcomed you back and you would have seen what you are missing. Which is why,… Read more »
do you know to how many non frummies chabad reached out to? do you know what shluchim are bichlal? do you know what yeshiva guys and also what girls do every friday?? nothing else then go to non frum jewish ppl and put with them tefillin, put a little of the rebbes chayus etc. the girls give out shabbes candles to non frum women how can you say what you did? the rebbe views each and every jew as a spark of his own. to the rebbe it made no diff if the guy’s a frummie or not. if you… Read more »
ONE MORE THING PLEASE DO NOT ASSUME TO KNOW ME JUST BECAUSE YOUR A CHABAD SHLIACH AND IT MUST BE THAT ZEVIES DOING THIS ONLY BECAUSE OF GUILT!!!!
I AM NOT YOUR CHABAD CLIENT AND I KNOW WHY I CHOOSE TO DO CERTAIN THINGS IN MY LIFE AND CHOOSE NOT TO DO OTHERS.
DEAREST CLASS, IF YOU WANT TO DISSCUSSS THIS MORE FEEL FREE TO CALL ME. I WILL NOT BE LOOKING AT THIS MESSAGE BOARD ANYMORE.

You say you dont want to disscuss this anymore etc… Please call me at 917,685,2712 so we can further disscuss this in private. If you meant what you wrote here than I will probably get a call from you.
I am long time friend of yours and I am really happy to see that you were bothered enough to comment negatively. In my experiences on Shlichus, I have found that those who davka didn’t want to wear a yarmulka or put on Tefillin, are the ones who deep inside are hurting or guilt ridden. The challenge comes with those who wear a yarmulka or put on Tefillin just to do me a favor. (Someone who wasn’t Jewish or didn’t care at all would probably have no problem putting on a yarmulka at the party, as a sign of respect… Read more »
Meir you were the one that wanted to Photoshop in a Yarmulka on my head in the photo I sent in. you told me that it would offend and hurt the people at the event if they saw a photo of me without a Yarmulka. Which means that If I were to show up to this event as me, being me and not wearing a Yarmulka than I would not have been accepted so openly as much as if I was wearing a Yarmulka. Respect is a 2 way street and I see through the nicety’s and false diplomacy of… Read more »
Dearest “honest” 20. if your so honest why is your name not here? and to what im referring to you are not aware of, so this whole silly “liar” thing you do is completely irrelovant.
If you would like to disscuss this I can give you my number somehow and we can talk honest man to honest man.
this has been my experiance with anyone religious today… its never something they might be at fault for, as you say here “maybe its you that excluded yourself ” or ” maybe its you this” or “maybe its you that” etc.. etc…
I take responsiblility for my actions you and the rest should too!!!! and stop with the round about excuses!!!!!!!
it was very very cool seeing uncle itsik in here!!!!
love csillag from vegas
I will not hide my name, this is Meir Geisinsky one of the organizers of this event, no, I am not taking #5 and #17 personal, for I know this wasn’t even remotely true, this is not even a matter of misunderstanding. Everyone in the class will tell you how many times they were encouraged, harassed everything but threatened to come. So no need for any defensive mechanisms there. However, the sad reality here is, there is someone totally unrelated to the class or for that matter has no connection to this article on this website that is simply trying… Read more »
You are a liar, say your name, and stop bashing people who do good things!! as you can see from the picture there are all kinds of people at this event, anyone from the class was invited no matter what they look like today
Stop hiding behind fake names and bash someone else!!
Classmate
The pictures disprove what you are saying, plain and simple. Maybe you did not WANT to be invited or maybe they lost track of you, or maybe it is YOU who feels you no longer have anything in common with your classmates and lost touch with them.
