There is no word “foreshore”, I assume you meant “for sure”.

Also, “drastic” means to have far reaching and extreme effects, but not positive ones. I highly doubt that’s the word you want.

אני מאחל לכל התמימים שגם הם יגמרו ש”ס ובזה יביאו נח”ר רב לכ”ק שיראו כולם שגם בתות”ל לומדים כמו שצריך

Amazing job Menachem!

I believe that he took it on to help fundraise for the Moshiach shiur in Yeshiva, but I may be wrong about that… remarkable either way!

Make that “even when you grow up to be teacher yourself, or a shliach, or in the business world – whatever YOU choose.”

you’re like עמלק making things cold. you have a point but it’s in the wrong place. you should be celebrating this bochers accomplishments! to #39 you’reore 100% right you can’t be blaming everyone else your wholle life even if you could have some excuse…… the only one that’ll suffer is you! and if he’s not a keli then#41 he’s not just bantering hes emes. and he may not be a keli as well as you

Unfortunately, you are so right.
Most of the Yeshivos do NOT teach you how to learn.
Very few do, and usually it’s only the very bright boys
that pick it up, and figure it out on their own. Or a father
that will sit with his son day after day and teach him the skills. #39 what in the world are you babbeling?

what a special cousin

instead of sitting there writing comments filled with self hate, you should practice before you preach. if you actually cared you wouldn’t be sitting there bashing the world. you would be out there making a difference! this is the problem with people nowadays, all they do is bash. saying: “there are problems, someone else go fix them, while i sit here and cheer everyone on (and then bash the “problems” with the reparations)” true there are problems, its like that in every community, and something needs to be done about it. but negativity and finger pointing never helps!!

WOOOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New haven happens to be from the few yeshivas that actualy puts an extra effort into giving bachurim the proper skills to learn.

November 25, 2013 5:53 pm

You have made all your grandparents proud today. May you continue to be a source of Naches and pride to our entire family. When one is determined to follow in the right path; no obstacles can stop him. You are a true example of this . The Rebbe is surely proud today of your success

Please don’t join all the yeshivas by yud shevat. New haven teaches skill and this kid took it to the next level. Don’t be so jealous

November 25, 2013 5:21 pm

you are a real inspiration. may this learning and determination stay with you ,even when you grow up and go to the business world. Its so sad to see bachurim that were once so serious, become so far from learning once they become ”working boys.” why not the best of both worlds as best as you can.

Best Chayolei learning teacher!!!!

Real dugmah chayoh for all
November 25, 2013 5:03 pm

I personally know menachem. He really teaches us how a bochur is supposed to be, that you can finish shas and at the same time not take away AT ALL from learning Chassidus, that he also learnt alot of chassidus. He Also gives a very big koch in Moshiach in the whole new haven, whether it’s the bochurim in mesivtah, zal or all the baalei baatim. MIMENU YIR’OO Vechein Yaasu!!

Ma Rabbi

we see you down under

big deal
November 25, 2013 4:29 pm

the problem is that nobody knows how to learn because they don’t teach us how to, they just tell us to…all of a sudden when one guy is Matzliach we make a big fuss and try taking all the credit, maybe look at all the guys who sit through yeshiva and don’t learn a jewish word because the hanholo are too lazy to give them the skills…if this attitude changed, perhaps we would see many more such articles in the future
