A 14-year-old Orthodox Jewish schoolgirl has been rushed to hospital with head and facial wounds following an attack in Stamford Hill, London, London Shomrim reported on Tuesday afternoon.
Several young Jewish girls were reportedly heading back from a rehearsal when a male attacker on a balcony pelted them with glass bottles. The attack took place on Woodberry Down Estate.
One of the girls is said to be badly wounded and was rushed to the Royal London Hospital by Hatzola.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told the Jewish Chronicle that the group of schoolgirls had been walking through the estate on Monday evening when a bottle was thrown from the upper floor of a building.
As a result, one sixteen-year-old girl was struck on the head, however, her wounds have been determined as non-life changing.
The officer said that the police were unable to locate the suspect, and the incident is being treated as a “potential antisemitic hate crime.”
Earlier this year, a 16-year-old Jewish boy was chased through Stamford Hill, an area of London with a large ultra-Orthodox Jewish community, by three males throwing stones.
Please say extra tehillim every day
And the 12 psukim when you leave your home
London has gone down the drain, everyone knows that, including non-Jews.
As has Crown Heights, most states unt eh US, Europe and every other place that had an antisemitic attack this year.
It’s called Golus.
That is not true, London is a fine Jewish community, it’s the crazy people which do not represent the area, they have to sent out of england
i live in London and its scary to walk on the streets. London is very not safe
As with everywhere, you need to be vigilant…. Nowhere is any different.
I do live in London and upon recently visiting crown heights I was way more frightened and uneasy to walk the streets there.
Pray for moshiach
I didnt know Shomrim was international – soo cool
These incidents need to be strongly condemned by leadership and authorities!
It was inevitable something like this was going to happen. The British government has made it very clear who they are protecting and it’s not Jews.
We jews were always targeted. Now it’s a lot worse obviously. They are not afraid to attack us.
No consequences and it a bit of fun for bored Jew haters
The officer said that the police were unable to locate the suspect, and the incident is being treated as a “potential antisemitic hate crime.”
Potential ? Seriously?
I grew up in Stamford hill and never felt safe walking near those government flats during the day. It’s scary and dodgy and not surprised someone was hurt by a crazy ppl there at night….
Wishing her a refuah shelaima!
There is absolutely not a single safe place in the world. We’re in Golus. And goyim live all over. Whatever is destined to happen – will happen. Doesn’t matter where you are. So may we do teshuva real fast so that Hashem can redeem us from this scary world we live in.
What nationality was the attacker? Asking for a friend
This is why i have been saying for years everyone must learn Self Defence even Lzdies and children, once they know we can defend our selves the attacks will stop ( wouldn’t have helped in this case ) As for the police not bing able to trans them, is nonsense, they said a top floor l how many top floor flats are they
The police should go to flat , it must of Neen opposite them .wishing the girl a Refuach Shalama
Does anyone know how this girl is doing?
So terrible!!
Does anyone have a name for Tehillim?
Hashem Yishmor!!
Just looking at COL, there is usually 1 violent crime each week. Recently there was a week with about 5. How often does Stamford Hill have violent crime like this one? Very rarely. I live in Stamford Hill and Baruch Hashem we feel very safe walking in the streets. This is an isolated incident, and although there could be an increase in people’s feelings towards Jews, there is almost never any action against us. Hashem is in control of us everywhere, so He can protect everyone wherever you are, but don’t tell people that London isn’t safe now! Crime in… Read more »
