The energy was electric.
1,200 Lubavitch girls from high schools all over the U.S. and Canada experienced a powerful evening of unity and inspiration.
The evening was themed around the possuk “Kol Dodi Dofek”, “Hear me out”, and focused on hearing the voice of our Neshama.
Mrs. Leah Rosenfeld of Chabad of Lake Worth, Florida, spoke poignantly about what it means to have a strong identity and to listen to the voice of our neshama. “Angels have nothing on us,” she powerfully enthused. The girls chanted after her that they were proud of their identity as chassidim of the Rebbe. The evening was masterfully MC’d by Mrs. Aidela Blesofsky.
A drama choir portrayed the many challenges Jewish women have faced throughout the ages, whether persecution, enlightenment, or peer pressure. In each era, the answer lay within, in the quiet voice of our neshama. For the grand finale, girls from different schools took hachlatos on stage about how they will listen to the voice of their neshama.
A grand roll call led to dancing with singer Yaffush Barkahan. Yaffush sang the night away as 1,200 girls danced and sang together.
“It’s unbelievable what was pulled off! It was an absolutely spectacular event,” participants raved.
“I’m a student from Pittsburgh that came to the Hakel event last night,” a student reached out. “I just wanted to thank you for your help with organizing it! We enjoyed it so so much and it was just an incredible experience!”
