120 Acres for Tannersville Camp

Yeshivas Kayitz of Tannersville, now in its second year, has purchased a new property ahead of the upcoming summer.

Launched last year by the hanhalah of Oholei Torah in response to enormous demand, the camp is open for registration to students from all Lubavitch mosdos who are graduating 8th grade.

The camp will be located on a beautiful, spacious 120 acre campus in scenic Kingston, in Upstate New York, in close proximity to the town of Tannersville, NY.

Located 2 hours from New York City, the grounds boast 2 lakes, a swimming pool, 3 basketball and 2 tennis courts and a volleyball court, 2 baseball fields and a soccer field.

The camp recently announced the appointment of their new Director, Rabbi Yisroel Levertov, who comes with many years of experience.

Rabbi Levertov will be directing the camp with the assistance of this summer’s head staff, which includes Head counselors Avremi Chein and Mendel Zaltzman and Learning director Yossi Katzman.

Yeshivas Kayitz Tannersville provides a top-quality program designed and directed by professional and experienced Mechanchim. With a comprehensive program of academics and adventure, YKT will be an experience of active learning and growing in Torah and Yiras Shamayim, based on the strengths and interests of each individual Talmid.

A unique aspect of the camp’s educational program are learning classes divided by level, providing each talmid the chance to shine in the ideal environment.

YKT’s counselors, Rebbeim and Mashpiim are trained educators and caring guides, each with several years of practical experience. They will focus on providing the tools, knowledge, motivation and responsibility necessary to thrive in Mesivta and in life.

Rabbi Mendel Polter, veteran mechanech and renowned authority on teaching Gemara, will also be on staff.

On the mountaintop campsite, Talmidim will enjoy crisp and cool air and wide array of on-site and nearby activities. The program will also include art, music, Safrus, first aid, kashering kitchens, public speaking and more.

In addition to strong learning and personal development skills, YKT’s program will innovate with V’da Ma Shetoshiv, an eye-opening session on the foundations of Yahadus and Chassidus. By addressing the questions asked on Mivtzoim or asked of themselves, Talmidim can look forward to strengthening their understanding of and connection to Yiddishkeit and Chassidishkeit in practical and meaningful ways.
