This Purim marks the 10th yarzeit of Shimshon Stock OBM, founder of CSSY.
This Purim marks R’ Shimshon’s 10th yahrzeit, and the family is inviting the community to visit the Stock Porch on Purim and donate. “We know Shimshon will be thrilled to see you there,” they say.
Shimshon and his wife Martha OBM served the community for over 31 years with great devotion to the needy and dedicated their lives to bringing joy and assistance to hundreds of families in Crown Heights.
The legendary CSSY charity box will be on display on the Stock porch. Famously held by R’ Shimshon Stock, the late and beloved founder of Chevra Simchas Shabbos V’Yom Tov (CSSY), the box will be stationed on Purim day, Sunday, March 12th , at 593 Montgomery Street. Kids who visit will receive a special treat.
CSSY, initiated by the Lubavitcher Rebbe and headed today by Benzion Stock and Avrohom Moskovits, continues the couple’s legacy, discreetly providing funds, food and support 365 days a year.
All Tzedakas go towards Matonos La’evyon to help the needy families in the Crown Heights community celebrate Purim! Additional funds will go towards the Maos Chitim fund which begins 30 days before Pesach. Please stop by and help bring joy and celebration to the 250 families in Crown Heights who come to CSSY for assistance. You can and will make a difference.
Can’t come by in person? Visit www.cssy.org or mail your donation to CSSY 593 Montgomery St. Brooklyn, NY 11225. All donations are tax deductible.
i was lucky as a child to hear reb shimshon ben reb yakov efraim DUCHAN and how the bellow from his heart BEAHAVAHHHH .. ayayayay oy shimshon sitting next to reb levi yitzchok miberditchev in gan eden
I miss them both so deeply – they woke up every day and asked
“Who can we help today?” Truly two of the greatest Jews of all time. It was our zechus to have them with us ! Moshiach NOW.
Such a loss to the community & to our family personally. Shimshon & Martha A”H, who passed away shortly after, are still deeply missed for their common sense, warmth, Ahavas Yisrael & humor. Incredible people, it’s good to know Benji & Mitz carry on their work.
We all loved reb shimshon a”h for his kindness, humor , energy etc.etc.I know also that he was a humble person , but I think for the sake of the young ones, we should refer to him as REB Shimshon.it’s only proper for someone who did so much Chesed before it was even so popular
Agree with #2 and more
They help and give with a smile and true love and care
A truly inspiring story. The community is blessed to have the Stock family living in their midst. Their level of chesed, modesty, and love for fellow yiddin should serve as a model and inspiration for all. As Reb Benzion (“Benjy”) continues his father’s legacy, he and his family should be blessed with tremendous bracha, unlimited hatzlacha and continued gzunt. A true gem in the crown of the community.
take out a dollar, & give the rest!!!!
