By Mrs. Tamar Adelstein, Coordinator
Despite the sticky heat and rainstorms, a great crowd of people showed up in support of GOING BACK to GAZA for GOOD! – the theme of this year’s 10th Shleimus HaAretz Conference for Israel, convened on June 30th at the Juneberry Tree Art Gallery in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
The conference is one of many activities Crown Heights Women for the Safety and Integrity of Israel arranges since being founded in the aftermath of the unfortunate signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993. I serve as coordinator for the organization.
Held annually in the lead up to the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s Yom Hillula (day of passing) on Gimmel Tammuz, the conference honors the Rebbe’s legacy of leadership under the banner for Shleimus HaAretz – preserving Israel’s territorial integrity in order to protect Jewish lives – Pikuach Nefesh and also gives special recognition to those resolute individuals and groups from across the Jewish community whose steadfast efforts bring the Rebbe’s message to fruition.
As also chairwoman of the Juneberry Tree Art Gallery, our team collaborated with our gallery’s consultant Dr. Miriam Leah Gamliel to curate the fabulous display of fine art paintings and pen and ink drawings for the conference created by local prominent artists including: Yitzchak Lloyd Bloom, Shua Raskin, Adar Tzipporah Feller, Gabriella Broome and Rivka Brooks.
The exhibit runs through Gimmel Tammuz with gallery hours open on Tuesday, July 2nd from 7-9pm; Thursday, July 4th from 1-5pm; Sunday, July 7th from 1-5 pm and on Gimmel Tammuz, July 9th from 1-5pm as well as by appointment. The gallery is located at 1714 President Street. To learn more about the Juneberry Tree Gallery: The Juneberry Tree Art Gallery
Before going on to the main event for Israel, attendees enjoyed a fascinating discussion with the artists, who are also generously donating a percentage of sales in support of Nachala and Regavim.
Indeed, we could not think of any more bright shining stars for Shleimus HaAretz than Nachala, the Settlement Movement in Israel, their equally energetic affiliates in the newly formed Knesset Caucus for the Return to Gaza and the very dynamic professionals at Regavim, Israel’s top organization dedicated to preserving and protecting Israel’s national interests via public policy and legislation.

Can Gush Katif Be Reclaimed (Feb 14 2024)
We encourage readers to sign Tzedek L’OTEF’s petition, עצומה – צדק לעוטף, drawn up by the communities situated along the Gaza periphery. They suffered the brunt of Hamas’ savagery on October 7th, r”l and know better than anyone else that only a strong Jewish presence along with military control can curtail and prevent Hamas and their cohorts, including the Palestinian Authority, from attacking Jews.
We recently recalled an old film of Rabbi Meir Kahane HY”D, speaking in 1986 at the New York Press Club. Refined and well-spoken, Rabbi Kahane calmly carries on articulating the Rebbe’s message for Israel even after being doused in red dye by an intruder. Let it be known that Rabbi Kahane maintained a close relationship with the Rebbe, keeping the Rebbe informed of all his activities. Israeli – Arab Relations
As always, the Rebbe’s prescient words of wisdom remain relevant no matter the passage of time. We conclude with the Rebbe’s message for peace in the Land of our Inheritance: JEM.tv REBBE THE LAND OF OUR INHERITANCE and specifically in Gaza: “Full Security Control In Gaza”

Go Shua Raskin!
This is an extreme position, throwing it around like it’s obviously what the Rebbe would support and we should all support is wild. How many Jewish lives will be lost every week from soldiers protecting this planned “return to Gaza”??
surely you jest!
The slogan, “hundreds of families ready to go to Gaza,” does not read well although it is true there is value in the plan as outlined. Gaza loses territory, and it is permanently recaptured for Jewish settlement. Only in territory cleared of Gazans. It is unlikely to be implemented but if it were, indeed Hamas would forever be understood as the loser in this war.
I wish I heard about this before it happened. I say two things.
1. Bravo, this is the spirit Israel and the Jewish people need.
2. The more important and practical task strategically, and the more sustainable one, is to settle Judea and Samaria, which actually is becoming a consensus position, to an extent that is much better than I would have imagined a short while ago. Taking territory from Hamas as punishment for what they did is certainly important as a deterrent measure. Strategically and also biblically, what is most important is in the heartland.
Taking territory from Hamas? Hardly! Gaza was foolishly given away – not given back – to the PLO in 2005 and ever since – and actually if you go and ask the residents of S’derot who suffered for 2 decades from attacks for Gaza’s Arabs – terrorism and war have gone up, r”l.
If Gaza remains in Arab control, the periphery communities and the cities nearby and those further over in the Negev and along the Coast will be plagued endlessly by terror and repeated wars.
Hey I know the history and I am a very right wing Israeli American Jew. I just say that territory taken, ok if you want to say, back from Hamas, should be territory that is not inahbited by Gazans. That is what I see in the map and that’s good as a concept. However we do have the more strategically important land of Judea and Samaria to settle, and I think Danielle Weiss should focus most of her efforts on that, as it is a big enough endeavor and a very important one. Yes for Gaza it is important to… Read more »
BH, Nachala’s efforts in Judea and Samaria are paying off with settlements finally becoming “regulated”. Thank G-d Bibi was not able to push the Deal of the Century in the Knesset back in June 2020. Had it been approved, the catastrophe on October 7th would have been far greater, r”l. The restrictions placed on Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria and the construction of additional bridges from there into Jordan and A TUNNEL FROM LOWER JUDEA INTO GAZA udner the Deal would have ended in many more Jewish deaths and kidnappings by the Arab savages. Should President Trump win the… Read more »
Hamas/Fatah it is all the same poisonous force. I remember the “disengagement” very well. I was adamantly against it.
I really thing Shua Raskins art is one of the best I have ever seen! and to think he is just a teenager!
