Yeshivas Bais Schneur is proud to announce that they will be opening a division for Shiur Gimmel Mesivta Bochurim aged 16 years old.
“Although in general we are a Zal for Bochurim ages 17 and 18, the past few years we have made a handful of exceptions and have taken Bochurim that were 16 and entering Shiur Gimmel Mesivta,” says the Hanhala. “Boruch Hashem, those Bochurim grew tremendously and benefited from our program.”
“It seems that our method of individual attention, giving space for other forms of outlets, and ensuring that the program and the learning is exciting and engaging while not compromising on the structure of Yeshiva, is highly needed for Bochurim of this age as well. We’ve decided this year, due to an increase in interest, to open a separate program within Bais Schneur for such aged Bochurim,” they said.
The Shiur Gimmel Program will have its own Bais Medrash adjacent to the main Bais Medrash, where the Zal program will continue as usual.
Rabbi Mendel Sasson will be the main Mashpia for the Shiur Gimmel program, and Rabbi Yisroel Eichenblatt will be the Maggid Shiur for Gemara.
Both Rabbi Sasson and Rabbi Eichenblatt are known to strongly connect with the Bochurim in an understanding way, and really boost them up in their Yiddishkeit.
The Shiur Gimmel Program will have their own Shluchim, Farbrengens and Mivtzahs. One of the floors of the new dormitory will be reserved for them.
They will join together with the Zal program for Davening, meals, trips, general events and will benefit from all of the amenities and environment that Bais Schneur has to offer.
For our first year we will be taking up to 20 new Bochurim for the Shiur Gimmel Program.
10 of the spots are already taken, which leaves us with 10 available spots.
