More snow fell in Buffalo on Tuesday after a historic and brutal winter storm buried the region and left deaths mounting as the blizzard became the region’s deadliest storm in more than four decades.
Already overwhelmed with a mounting death toll, widespread power outages, and a driving ban that’s being enforced by military police, the region braced for up to 2 more inches of snow throughout western New York through Tuesday, the National Weather Service said.
Even after 4 feet of snow fell on Sunday, 20 year old bochur Moishi Labkowski, son of Shluchim Rabbi Laizer and Chani Labkowski of Chabad Center For Jewish Life, was seen braving the elements as he trudged by foot to the local Mikvah, an approximately mile-long walk.
His brother captured the walk by drone.
Moishi and his brothers also walked to the Mikvah and to Shul on Shabbos during the storm as well, his family members told COLlive.
This is amazing
Got chills!

For a second I thought I read that the mikvah was in the snow, like a freezing mikvah…. Thought wow like in Russia….
how much more so when the mikvah is so close to someone and its “good” weather outside…
The Shlucha in Iceland, Mushky Feldman, braves the elements as well to go to a natural mikvah. A geothermal pool BH warm – but has to walk/climb a 10 minute walk thru snow covered hills to get to the crude 3-walled adjacent changing hut built in the late 1800s. Total mesiras nefesh!!! Go to Chabad of Iceland and donate to their Mikvah fundraiser- so she and the women of Iceland can have a proper, modern day mikvah.
Wow Moishe incredible mesiras nefesh mamish buchrim like this are getting rare
Things a Bocher would do to get of the house.
Why don’t you write about the 20 people who braved their way to minyan including mile walks
jet skies or snow mobile ? this happens every year up there perhaps a worthwhile investment
You can google kits that convert your ATV to a Snow Vehicle with Tracks. This could have saved lives in Buffalo
Bh there’s a future in Lubavitch. .we’re not all lost!! Kol hakavod
