Thousands of participants of the International Kinus Hashluchim gathered at the Old Montefiore Cemetery in Queens, New York, on Friday for joint davening.
They went to the Rebbe‘s Ohel while reciting Tehillim for their families and communities, the safety of Jewish people worldwide, and the land of Israel.
The gathering follows the horrific murder of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, a Chabad Shliach in the United Arab Emirates, at the hands of Islamic terrorists.
His death has shaken the family of Shluchim, who marked this week the 16th yartzeit of Rabbi Gabi and Rivky Holtzberg, who were murdered in a terror attack on their Chabad center in Mumbai, India.
Read at the Ohel was a plan kloli, a general letter written on behalf of the Shluchim and which they have signed upon arriving at the Kinus in Crown Heights.
Reading it was Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky, one of the Rebbe’s Shluchim to Israel, Rov of Chabad in Rechovot and vice chairman of Beis Din Rabbonei Chabad in Israel.
The davening included a plea for the release of the 101 hostages who are still being held by Hamas terrorists in Gaza.
