Chabad of Greater Orlando Launches Emergency Campaign After Devastating Fire
A devastating fire has destroyed the Chabad of Greater Orlando, leaving the community without its beloved Shul, school, Mikvah, and programs just weeks before the High Holidays. The destruction is severe, and the estimated insurance payout of $650,000 barely scratches the surface of the damage.
In response, Chabad has launched an urgent campaign to raise funds for a temporary venue and the eventual rebuilding of their center. With over 200 people relying on the center for services and programs, the need is immediate and crucial. The community is calling on supporters to help restore what was lost and ensure that Jewish life in Orlando continues to thrive.
“Though the flames took our building, they cannot extinguish the spirit of our community,” a spokesperson said. Contributions will aid in rebuilding, securing a temporary space, and ensuring the Chabad’s vital programs can resume.
To support the effort, visit the official campaign page or contact Chabad directly. Every donation makes a difference in helping this resilient community rebuild.
