In a heartfelt tribute, Rabbi Shais Taub and Menachem Benchemon recently visited the grave of Sam Weiner, the grandfather of renowned radio personality Michael Savage, to mark his yartzeit on the 27th of Sivan. The visit was not only a gesture of remembrance but also a celebration of Sam Weiner’s legacy, reflected through his Hebrew name Simchah, which means joy.
During the visit, Rabbi Taub explained the significance of the Hebrew name ‘Simchah’ and its profound connection to the essence of joy in Jewish thought. To honor this connection, they brought a copy of “The Chassidic Approach to Joy,” a pivotal work that explores the themes of joy and spiritual fulfillment found within Chassidic teachings.
The gesture was especially meaningful as the book was also sent as a gift to Michael Savage, serving as a symbolic bridge linking the past with the present through shared heritage and enduring values.
