Hundreds of Bochurim have arrived Friday in Morristown, NJ, for a special Shabbos Hachana in preparation for the upcoming 30th anniversary of Gimmel Tammuz.
The bochurim will unite on Shabbos for joint Tefillos, learning and lively Farbrengens in the spirit of Sheves Achim Gam Yochad, and will leave uplifted and energized as they prepare for Gimmel Tammuz.
Together with the guest Mashpia, Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor of Thailand, the weekend will be joined by Bochurim learning in Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Morristown, Beis Medrash Oholei Torah, Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Nyack, Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Baltimore, and Yeshivas Beis Dovid Shlomo New Haven.
As Gimmel Tammuz—30 years approaches, and Bochurim around the world eagerly seek ways to strengthen their connection to the Rebbe, the Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim launched a series of impactful initiatives to assist Bochurim in their Hachanos.
Another Shabbos Hachana is set to take place in a few weeks in Detroit, MI, joined by Bochurim learning in Yeshivas Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Detroit, Yeshivas Oholei Menachem Mendel Toronto and Yeshivas Ohr Eliyahu Chicago. Other events and initiatives being organized are Yom Hachana and special Mivtzahs in Yeshivas around the world.
The Shabbos Hachana is being held in memory of Rabbi Moshe Yehuda ben Harav Tzvi Yosef Kotlarsky OBM, Vice Chairman of Merkos.
