The levaya of Zalman Alenick, a beloved husband and father who supported Jewish and Chabad causes, was held on Wednesday, passing by 770 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights.
He was 61.
Zalman was born and raised in Crown Heights. He lived in Orange County, NY.
He was a baal tzedakah, a supporter of Colel Chabad and Chevra Simchas Shabbos V’Yom Tov (CSSY), and many other mosdos and organizations.
Despite his recent illness, which demanded much of his strength, Zalman’s determination never wavered. He was honored as the guest of honor at this year’s Colel Chabad Gala in New York, using his last reserves of energy to unite friends and family around his most cherished causes: charity and Chesed.
He is survived by his wife Zehava and daughters Randi Hefter and Rebecca Alenick, as well as his siblings.
