Question

Does it have to be 100 silk or mostly silk would be ok?

Loved the Paris story

Also on regards of length, very interesting, I understand that one could wear a shorter kapota, nothing “modern” about it…

If the above story is true , why do most chasiddim wear wool , and why do they sell mostly wool kapatas ?

For a non argumentative response. Perhaps I can put your question at ease by saying….

For warmth on cold days. Or non Shabbos or Yom Tov days that one may wear a Kapoteh. Even though it’s definitely suggestive to wear silk too.
Or one May feel It’s too expensive as in the olden days.
Or sadly stuck in עולם היצירה (nebech)

Why like that?

Why to put the story in test, while you can ask without doubting the story?

Bchol oifn, he said, it was/is very expensive to use silk and chassidic didn’t have money, so that’s why in America the Rebbe said that it’s already time that chassidic wear it.
