This Tuesday, Rosh Chodesh Nissan, the first day of Chodesh Hageulah and the month of the Rebbe’s birthday, the Yeshiva of Morristown spent the full day from the morning till the minutes of shkia to give out over 1,200 matzos to Jews around New Jersey.
After weeks and thoughts of preparation, the Bochurim of Tomchei and Teferes Yeshivos in Morristown, set out on Rosh Chodesh Nissan, in honor of The Rebbe’s 122nd Birthday, in thirty cars, giving out over 1,200 Matzos, to any Jew in need.
The project was coordinated by Shneur Slonim, Sholom Deren and Mendel Susskind. The cars left the Rabbinical College in a parade procession, then spread out all over New Jersey, meeting many Jews for the first time, handing out Matzos, wrapping Tefillin, and sharing words of Torah.
The Day of Mivtzoim was arranged with thanks to Berel Grossbaum, Mendel Cadaner, and Zelig Notik.
A Special Thanks Chabad Lubavitch of New Jersey, Rabbis Chaim Schapiro, Moshe Herson, and Mendy Herson
