A new Torah was welcomed with great joy at the Achdus Yisroel Shul in Postville, Iowa.
The Torah was donated by R’ Gideon Gratsiani, dedicated in memory of his son, Levi Yitzchak Gratsiani obm.
The Torah was completed by members of the community, and the Torah was then brought to the Gratsiani home for the final letters and Hagbah and Gelilah.
The Torah was led with great joy and singing and dancing to the Shul for Hakafos. This was followed by a Seudas Mitzvah and Farbrengen.
Speakers included R’ Gratsiani, Rabbi Tzvi Wilhelm of Netanya, Israel, Rabbi Hertz and Rabbi Kramer.
Children enjoyed rides and entertainment, and music was by musician Fitche Benshimon.
