Hi Boys and Girls! Welcome back to the Parsha Studio!
This week, in addition to Parshas Vaykhel, we read a special Parsha called Shekalim. In this Parsha, Moshe was instructed to count all the Yidden by collecting half a Shekel from each one. This unique counting method was a reminder for us to celebrate diversity and recognize our shared humanity. We should embrace our differences and strive to create a world where everyone is valued, respected, and appreciated.
Did you know that there exists a half-dollar coin in America? This week, to celebrate the special Parsha, we are going to make a Silver Machatzis Hashekel Art. We will use a US Half-Dollar coin as a tracer to create an amazing representation of how unique and special the Jewish nation is. Let’s shape, trace, and glue to create a beautiful Machatzis Hashekel Portrait.
