As the excitement mounts for this week’s CTeen Shabbaton in Crown Heights, the safety and well-being of every attendee remain paramount.
In a collaborative effort between CTeen Headquarters and the New York Police Department (NYPD), officers from various precincts, including the 77th, 71st, Brooklyn South, and Transit, came together last week to discuss security measures for the event.
With an anticipated gathering of 3,000 teens from across the globe, the focus of the meeting was clear: ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
“Ensuring the safety of all participants is our top priority. We want every teen to feel secure and at ease throughout the streets of Crown Heights and New York City,” says Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, Executive Director of Merkos 302. “Tt’s this sense of safety that truly allows our Shabbaton to have a meaningful impact on each participant.”
