In honor of Shabbos Yud Shevat, a special tent was erected at the Ohel of the Rebbe in Queens, New York, to accommodate the large number of Mesivta bochurim who were visiting to celebrate 74 years of the Rebbe’s Nesius.
The tent, which was sponsored by a group of generous donors, and facilitated by the Vaad Hatmimim, was large enough to accommodate hundreds of bochurim and was equipped with comfortable seating and heating.
The special tent provided a comfortable and welcoming environment for the bochurim who traveled from their respective Mesivtos to the Ohel from Shabbos. Having a designated area to daven, farbrengen, and learn enhanced their experience and allowed them to focus purely on spending time at the Ohel.
In addition to the tent, several other special arrangements were made for the bochurim who visited the Ohel for Shabbos Yud Shevat. These included:
Special Farbrengens were held on Friday night and Shabbos day for bochurim.
Sedorim were held throughout Shabbos in the tent.
A seder Niggunim was held on Shabbos with hundreds of Bochurim participating.
The Vaad Hatmimim would like to thank Rabbi Berel Lazar for making this beautiful initiative possible.
Special thanks to the staff at Ohel Chabad Lubavitch and Rabbi Abba Refson.

Was great for the yeshivas to have a set place to daven, farbreng and make minyanim for kriah shabbos morning.
A special shout out to Miami mesivta for their Seder niggunim in the dark when the lights went out for a short while Friday night
As a Bochur who has been coming to the ohel for many Shabbosim, it is so amazing that the Vaad Hatmimim put up this tent last week.
It really make a difference to younger Bochurim who are coming to the ohel for Shabbos, many for the first time!
Thank you COLLIVE for sharing this beautiful act of kindness with the rest of us – who aren’t privileged to live in close proximity to our Rebbe.
Shabbat Shalom
thank you Rabbi Berl Lazer
