It’s easy to be overwhelmed by the complicated nature of planning a Simcha. Everything Wedding makes it a little less complicated for you. That’s one reason behind their success. Everything Wedding was started by Chava Altein, a resident of Crown Heights. The platform is a family personal project, with Chava, her mother, and her husband, Yossi all playing integral roles. Recently passing 3,000 users and over 5.5 thousand interactions across six continents. This comprehensive hub is not just a space that reaches users all over the world, but a practical solution to the stress.
Altein expressed her excitement about the positive responses, sharing, “We’re reaching people all over, and some are reaching back out to us.”
Designed as a one-stop site for all L’Chaim and wedding resources, Everything Wedding offers step-by-step checklists, vendor information, Gemachs, and crucial contacts. While its primary focus is on Crown Heights-based Simchos, the platform is adaptable to celebrations worldwide. They have created a resource that streamlines the planning process, making it easier for families to organize memorable Simchas with calm and joy.
However, as the celebration fades into memory and life returns to routine, Altein raises a crucial point: “What about the next family about to embark on their Simcha journey?” The growing success of Everything Wedding relies on the community’s involvement to send in updated, current and / or missing information. “Your feedback is important. Help us help you. This is our project,” she emphasizes.
Chava shares more about the reason behind starting the website. “While I was blissfully following my mother around during my engagement, my new group of friends shared how overwhelmed and stressed they were. I concluded that if I can, why not give the calm, organized, getting-married-is-fun feeling I had to others.” Altein shares. The impact of Everything Wedding goes beyond numbers, with positive feedback pouring in. Users have praised the platform for its clarity, organization, and wealth of helpful information.
“I didn’t even get a chance to be overwhelmed, I opened your website and knew it would all be under control,” Altein says as an example of what kind of feedback she receives. “We hear that all the time.”
As Everything Wedding celebrates its six-month anniversary, Chava emphasizes a current focus on building and encouraging users to contribute to the existing website. She notes, “We would like to build up and encourage people to add to the current website as much as possible, so that we all have the maximum possible and relevant information when we need it.”
