On the fifth night of Chanukah in New Jersey, over 100 cars joined for a Car Menorah Parade from the Rabbinical College of America in Morristown to Friendship Circle in Livingston.
The cars and trucks with Menorahs headed out to the highways and streets of New Jersey, bringing the light of Chanukah and Jewish pride to thousands along the way. The parade culminated in a grand Tzivos Hashem rally led by Rabbi Boruch Hecht.
Immediately following the rally cars from the West Orange community came and joined in another parade to the final destination Chabad of West Orange.
Joining the parades were the Morristown and West Orange communities as well as the growing anash community in Randolph.
The parades were coordinated by Zalmy Wagner of the Mivtzoim office with the help of Rabbi Yisroel Rosenblum of the Friendship Circle, Rabbi Mendy Kasowitz – Chabad of West Orange, and Mendel Susskind who arranged the Rally.
Everything was made possible under Rabbi Chaim Schapiro, Menahel of Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim Morristown, as well as many bochurim who helped make it happen.
